building intelligence for intelligent building

BSD SpecLink-E is a client/server application that may be used by a single user (standalone) or installed on a network for use by any workstation on which the client is installed. An Internet connection is required for operation in both standalone and network configurations.

The network configuration limits the number of simultaneous users based on the subscription purchased.

Here are the recommendations for the common configurations.

** For our Corporate users we have found that 4 GB of ram on the server devoted to SpecLink-E is sufficient for 2 concurrent users. To maintain performance we recommend that an additional 2 GB of RAM be installed for each additional concurrent user.

No other software is required to use BSD SpecLink-E. Formatting and printing of sections, project table of contents, and reports of project requirements all can be accomplished from within the program. If desired, SpecLink-E files may be exported as Rich Text Format (.rtf) or Microsoft Word 1997-2003 (.doc) for editing with a word processor, but all intelligence associated with the files will be lost when this step is taken.
